Patience, Care and Compassion

East Coast Field Dog was founded on the philosophy that dogs should be trained with a soft touch to bring out a bold, confident hunting companion.

Every dog has a unique personality and disposition. Because of this, every dog needs to be handled differently. This requires a unique trainer with a wide range of experience and a wealth of knowledge.

Whether you want to train a young or older dog, you need expert guidance to effectively train your dog.

If you love your dog, you can count on East Coast Field Dog to train with love and compassion.

SPECIALIZING IN POINTING & FLUSHING BREEDS

Our program is different from most you will find. We will work with you and your dog so you learn as your pup does.

We have private access to fields and birds.
You and your dog will learn together the fundamentals of:
Introduction to birds, Gun introduction, Use of checkcord, Quartering, Heel, Recall, Whoa (stay), Retrieving, Introduction to water, Use of birds, Finding, Pointing or Flushing birds, Steady to Wing, Steady to Shot, Sit to Flush. Also covered are the pros and cons of the electronic dog collar.

We have private access to fields and birds.

You will teach your dog all commands through using verbal, whistle, and hand.

The most important part of any dog’s training is what you do when you first get your pup. This starts and sets the foundation for years to come. Bad habits are easy to develop…tough to correct. Don’t let this happen!
